Rainy Days in San Diego

We think that Bauer our shop dog might be a little spoiled by then normally nice San Diego weather.  This is how he is spending this rainy day...we cant get him out of his bed (and yes he is wearing his hoody too)

The Latest Valentino Rossi Helmet - Available FIRST at Cycle Sector!

We just got our first order of the new Valentino Rossi 2010 Faces Helmets!  Cycle Sector is the first in the USA to have these helmets in stock, however we only ordered a limited amount and they will go fast!  These helmets will not be sold in the United States for another few months.

This is the design he wore at the Laguna Seca USA round, in which he scored a valuable third place after making his return from a broken leg.  The Faces helmet is a tribute to all these friends. Designed by world famous Aldo Drudi, the Faces include Graziano (Vales father) his best friend Uccio, team manager Davide Brivio, crew chief Jerry Burgess. Famous friends like Italian musicians Jovanotti, Cesare Cremonini, and Vasco Rossi, Inter Milan football star Marco Materazzi, famous comedian Poalo Cevoli and last but by no means least Vales two dogs Cesare and Cecilia!

Nolan X-Lite Lorenzo Captain America

We have been importing the awesome Nolan X-Lite X-802 helmets for a couple months now, and we finally received one of the Jorge Lorenzo Captain America helmets. I gotta say, I wasnt a big fan by just the pictures alone, but seeing this helmet in person, I like it! The blue is a very unique color not seen in other gear, and all the colors are very vivid; this is definitely a great looking helmet.

T-Pro Armour through Blue Streak Racing

I cannot talk enough about protective gear, especially when it comes to the worlds of off-road and street bike riding. I have been testing out a high-quality body armour suit called the Extreme Harness Adventure made by Tpro Forcefield Armour and distributed by Blue Streak Racing (Johnson's Leather in the USA and sold at Cycle Sector www.cyclesector.com.) This full-body armour is very comfortable and comes with a chest and back piece with a kidney belt attached, removable shoulder plates and removable elbow pads. The nice thing about this armour is that there is no mesh holding it together, which makes it a lot lighter, less restrictive and it is also breathable, which is key in a sport like motocross or trail riding.

The shoulder and elbow attachments are connected to the chest piece by two layers of Velcro for security. There are absolutely no hard buckles, fasteners or studs holding this armour together, which makes it completely adjustable to fit you perfectly. This Extreme Harness is made of nitrex, which allows the armour to be flexible and form to your body shape. Nitrex is a high-tech shock-absorbing material that is combined with thick and lightweight layers of nitrile to disperse the force of the impact over the entire surface area, instead of one single area. I am sure that most of you have found that plastic chest protectors end up breaking over time and after multiple impacts either from the ground, the gear bag you shove it into, or just from getting nailed in the chest by a few rocks. This Tpro Armour is made up of Repeat Performance Technology, which allows multiple hard impacts without destroying the product or bringing the life quality of the product down.

I got the chance to get out on a street bike the other day and decided to test out how my body armour would feel. Surprisingly it was more comfortable than even wearing a Tec-style street jacket because of how it molded to my body shape after the first 20 minutes or so. Hey all, its been a long time since we have blogged or updated our site with new media content, but soon we will be redesigning the site with exciting new features and a ton of new content with new blog entries, track videos, product reviews, photos and MUCH more!

We are always busy working on filling orders and answering emails, but we are really making a push to make this happen soon. Stay tuned!

St Patricks Day Bike Night!

We hosted a bike night today along with Dino's Italian Restaurant in our building for St. Patricks Day. We had a bunch of friends come hang out with us a and met some new friends. We raffled off some cool prizes and a lot of fun was had by all :)

Lots of Michelins Now in Stock!

Wow we havent blogged in ages! We wanted to get this going again so our first blog of the year is going to be about our massive order of Michelin tires we received today! Since Michelin reduced their prices for 2010 we have been selling a ton of them, so instead of having only a few in stock, we decided to fill the store with them! We are now wall to wall in Michelin tires...ahhh the smell of fresh rubber. If you guys want Michelin's, we got em!
