Extreme Auto Fest San Diego

On Sunday, July 26, 2009, Cycle Sector took part in Extreme Auto Fest San Diego. Our company had a booth set up, featuring tires and motorcycle jackets, as well as other products. Everyone from the Cycle Sector family attended the event, including Elizabeth Hopkins, our intern, and her friend Jae, who both worked as promotional models for the company. Although the day was rather hot, the girls walked around with an umbrella, passing out cards and taking pictures with Auto Fest attendees. Elizabeth and Jae made a few film appearances (with Cycle Sector shout-outs, of course!), which will be featured on various websites. Additionally, the girls took many photos alongside the competing cars, which were tricked out with spectacular paint jobs, engines, spoilers, hood ornaments, rims, sliding doors, and other accessories. JT Cruise, one of our stunt riders, also hung out at the Cycle Sector booth, patiently waiting for his stunt show to begin. Unfortunately, the event scheduling did not go according to plan, and JT was forced to go out later than expected. The bikini contest began right before JT went out, causing many of the event attendees to be uninformed that his ride was about to take place. However, despite the fact he was not given very much room, JT did have a great ride-and blew one of his tires very quickly!
A few pictures are posted above, however, additional photos of the booth, cars, JT's ride, etc. can be viewed in the photos section of our website.

07 ZX-6R Rebuild

Its a story many of us have heard and makes us cringe every time it happens again, a guy let his buddy take his bike "for a spin" and wrecked it. Well this is what happened with this unfortunate ZX-6R.

Here is what she looked like when I got her:

There were all kinds of parts busted up on this thing, just kept finding one after another. Flipping a bike does a lot of damage! I had to tear her down do basically a frame and a motor!

Now for the rebirth! We got her some new replacement parts as well as some new fairings that were custom painted with a pearl white finish. We also added new Bridgestone B-016 tires, Zero Gravity Dark Smoke Double Bubble windscreen, ASV levers, R&G aero sliders and bar ends, and most importantly...Cycle Sector stickers! Check this baby out now! HOTNESS!

Oh yeah :)

The New Addition

Cycle Sector welcomes it's newest team member, Anthony DeVincenzo! Anthony is a graduate in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. He grew up in New York but has happily settled by the beach here in sunny San Diego. He has been into motor sports at a very early age and has owned many forms of two wheeled machines. He now rides a 2007 Kawasaki ZX-6R and enjoys going on local group rides in the local twisties. We are proud to have him on board and look forward to his contributions to making Cycle Sector bigger and better! We are going to get some Saki Bombs tomorrow for his "official" initiation :)

(You will notice just how "San Diegan" he is by his ratty beach chair he chooses to sit on)
